Whole Earth Discovery is an online magazine published by Wildcraft Forest Books as a production of the Watershed Intelligence Network. At Whole Earth we encourage a better understanding of nature, eco-systems and our changing planet. The magazine helps people explore environmental problems from a practical, how-to standpoint. We explore nature and responsible travel, new innovation, renewable energy, recycling, organic agricultural practices, whole food and wellness. We also tackle tough issues from a neighborhood and village perspective like education, affordable housing and innovation within the localization movement.
We use Whole Earth to promote books and productions that tell a wider story about important issues and discoveries. We have been engaged in alternative publishing since the early 1980’s. Our book-publishing house is called Wildcraft Forest, which also publishes under an imprint called Watershed Intelligence.
Wildcraft Forest publishes fiction and non-fiction work and provides encouragement and seeks to help a new generation of writers focus on subjects such as environmental sustainability, current events, permaculture, spirit, health, visionary change, children’s literature, nature and wildcrafting.
Our multi-media studios are located at the Wildcraft Forest Wild Tea Plantation in the Monashee foothills on the edge of the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada. Visit us at our business incubator we call the Discovery Centre located east of Vernon, between Lumby and Cherryville on Highway 6.
